four 2min cinematic movie trailers to act as reward sequences for each
level. The trailers, which drew inspiration from and parodied the
superhero ("Night Avenger"),
action ("Strike Force Omega"),
spy ("Never Kill Me
Again"), and comedy ("Whoopin' n Hollerin'") genres,
were fully concepted,
storyboarded, animated and composited by Pendulum. The studio was also
responsible for full sound design and original musical scores. Full
performance motion-capture was shot & recorded at House of Moves. The cinematics also
took advantage of Pendulum’s proprietary
facial animation software, AlterEgo, to achieve the
dramatic realism desired. |
